Early Team News: Man United name 25-man provisional squad for Huddersfield away

Manchester United Football Club have two games remaining before a disastrous season will come to an end.

Despite showing early promise, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s magic appears to have worn off. The Baby Faced Assassin now knows just how tough of a task he has on his hands.

Our penultimate game of the campaign is an away fixture against Huddersfield Town. For that match, the Daily Mirror have done some digging and unveiled United’s provisional 25-man squad.

The usual suspects including David de Gea, Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba were all spotted by Mirror reporters, these guys will be hoping to play better this weekend.

There are some youngsters included, too, with Niko Kovar called up for the injured Sergio Romero, while Tahith Chong and James Garner are also headed to Yorkshire with the squad.

It’s still about putting three points on the board but if we can see one or two of these guys in action, that’ll be a lovely way to end the season. It’s also a massive shame that Mason Greenwood is injured because judging by Solskjaer’s pre-match comments, the young Englishman was firmly in with a shot of being involved.

Provisional squad (Daily Mirror):  De Gea, Grant, Kovar, Young, Darmian, Valencia, Shaw, Rojo, Smalling, Jones, Smalling, Lindelof, O’Connor, Herrera, Garner, Matic, Pogba, Pereira, McTominay, Mata, Chong, Sanchez, Martial, Lukaku, Rashford.
