Man United set their Paul Pogba selling price: report

As we go into the summer, Manchester United could well face an uphill battle when it comes to keeping ahold of their top stars. The failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League plays a detrimental part in that.

Amongst those who could want out is Paul Pogba, with the Daily Mail stating that United ‘face a fight’ to keep ahold of the mercurial Frenchman this summer.

Real Madrid are apparently ‘desperate’ to sign Pogba, while United chief Edward Woodward insists the 26-year-old isn’t for sale – although Old Trafford insides have told the Mail that the club will listen to offers in excess of £160million…

It goes without saying that United probably won’t let Pogba leave unless they’ll profit from his sale. Although inconsistent on the field, you have to respect his presence within the global game. The Pogba brand was worth the £89million transfer fee alone.

From a fans’ standpoint, I’m at that stage where honestly I’m not really bothered what happens with Pogba. He’s obviously a talented player but the #6 hasn’t shown it anywhere near enough while at United. Yes, there’s a massive chance he goes on to Madrid and proves everyone wrong, but that’s football and £160million for an inconsistent performer may be too much to say no to…
