Manchester United were beaten 4-0 by Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Easter Sunday. It was the biggest defeat of the season for United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, also the sixth defeat in the last eight matches. Top four is vastly out of reach for United now, unless other teams ask United to hold their beer.
It was one of those matches that United needed to win in order to take advantage of Tottenham Hotspur losing against Manchester City on Saturday. However, in times where other teams above United have slipped up, United tend to follow them. That is exactly what happened at Goodison Park on Sunday!
The performance of this team was largely poor with little to take home other than a massive clear out being needed in the summer, but that writing has been on the wall for a long time now. Not that it will happen though, it is clear that United want to reward failure, which has been the case recently, especially renewing players contracts who should have left the club already. Who would want any of them?
