What We Want To See From Man United At Huddersfield And More Transfer Rumours

Manchester United will be playing at Huddersfield on Sunday and it is a match in which they will badly need a comfortable victory.

Win Comfortably

All the other teams fighting for top four need it too, as they are all in poor form as well, but the Devils have the easiest end to the season. Huddersfield away and Cardiff at home, two relegated teams, and that simply has to smell like six points won. Matches still need to be won, with this one at Huddersfield, but those wins might not even be enough for the top four finish.

Either way, Devils are going up against the worst team in the league and by some distance. It is simple. A victory of at least two or three goals difference will be expected and a clean-sheet another bonus on top of it. Lukaku and others need to start firing before it is too late.

Play The Kids

We would like to see the kids play! That will most probably happen if Man United have a secured victory with some 20-30 minutes to play and that is why all of the above is important as well. James Garner, Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong are included in the squad for Sunday’s game and seeing one or two of them would be great for the travelling fans.

Solskjaer could add a feel-good factor to a potential victory and show the faith in youth, even though the season is almost over.

Return “Honeymoon” Pogba

Here is something interesting: statistical comparison of Paul Pogba’s league performances in three parts of the season – under Jose Mourinho, in the first part of Solskjaer’s tenure, the so called “honeymoon period” and after that. You can clearly see how amazing Pogba was when Solskjaer arrived and how poor he has been in the other two parts of the season.

We would like to see a strong performance from him on Sunday, to remind us of those early 2019 days. He was firing from all cylinders back then and recently he has looked a bit uninterested and without any real output on the pitch. Huddersfield is the perfect opposition to change that.

Keylor Navas And Moussa Dembele Rumours

And then there are rumours and there are some brand new ones. The first one is about Keylor Navas potentially being offered to Manchester United this summer in case Real Madrid want to sign David De Gea after all. Madrid could get a cut-price for him if he enters the final year of the contract and to make things easier for Devils, they could also send Navas to Manchester.

This is most probably another false alarm, as there is really no real reason to think they would get rid off Navas, a great goalkeeper, so easily. Also, there is the fact that De Gea could in the end sign a new contract with United.

The other story is about Moussa Dembele, but not the one that played at Tottenham, but the Lyon striker. Former Celtic forward could be United’s target if Romelu Lukaku is to actually leave Man United this summer. But, as with Keylor Navas, that is just too many ifs right now.
